How a transfer works

  1. You approve and burn.Your USDC is burned on Base by Circle's CCTP contract — the exact amount, never an unlimited approval.
  2. Circle attests. After Base reaches finality, Circle signs a message authorising the mint. This is the slow step, and it is not something ARCWAY can speed up.
  3. ARCWAY delivers it. We submit the mint on Arc and pay the gas, because you have no Arc balance yet. The message names you as the recipient, so the USDC can only ever arrive at your address.

Between the burn and the mint your funds are provably in flight and no longer on Base. ARCWAY shows you exactly which stage you are in for the whole of that window.
